Garden Tour with Champagne Cream Tea

Tue 18 July 2023

HRWHA enjoyed another unforgettable Champagne Cream Tea & Garden Tour, led by one of the experienced guides of HM King Charles III.

A private tour of Highgrove Gardens. From the other-worldly Stumpery to the whimsical Thyme Walk and the Chelsea award-winning Carpet Garden.

Highgrove is a place of peace and tranquillity, where The King’s passion and imagination have been etched onto the Cotswold landscape. Offering a rare glimpse into the life of His Royal Highness, you will also learn about the gardens’ history and organic management, as well as their sources of inspiration.

The Garden Tour commenced early afternoon ending with Champagne Cream Tea in the private Garden Room with time for some shopping in the Highgrove shop and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Following the tour, Greg Rowland and his young apprentice of M. Rowland & Son Ltd. Wheelwrights, presented their handmade wheelbarrow to Kasia Howard of the King’s Foundation on behalf of HRWHA, to be placed in the Dye Garden at Barley Court, Highgrove. The wheelbarrow is suitably engraved as presented by Highgrove Royal Warrant Holders Association to mark the coronation of King Charles III.
